I’m just your average Southern California woman who loves learning, music, and adventures.

At 16, I took a Childcare ROP course and was obsessed with creating activities for the kiddos and loved working with them. That semester, I went to my counselor and said “Hey Mrs. Bryden, I want to be a teacher- what university should I attend for this?”

I attended California State University, Fullerton

Bachelors in Adolescent Development

and started my teaching journey in 2006.

I’ve dissected every California middle school math standard inside and out and tracked how key concepts flow across grade levels. I've observed student work and analyzed where they mess up, asked them questions and dissected their thinking, and that taught me how to teach them.

If students get stuck, it’s not a lack of ability—it’s a missing connection. When students transition from arithmetic and algebra, these small unseen gaps get wider and logic breaks down.

I founded xxMath to change that. My 'Simply Connects' philosophy isn't about memorizing shortcuts; it’s about mastering the governing rules of how math works. I teach students how to think, how to transition, and help them secure long-term academic stability in mathematics with unwavering care and support.

Founded in 2026, xxMath is a hub built specifically to give middle schoolers and their families the resources and support they need to master Middle School Math.
